About Me

I received my PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Miami. I have been both a university professor and a practicing psychologist for over 10 years. Through both roles, I have developed a unique insight into the mental health challenges facing those in higher education and other high-demanding fields, including anxiety and depression, burnout, relationship difficulties, and stressful life transitions.

I have worked with individuals across the lifespan, from various nationalities and racial/ethnic groups, and of various sexual orientations and gender identities. I use a culturally-informed approach to my work that seeks to allow all clients to feel safe, understood, and valued.

Clients who have worked with me describe me as warm, caring, and invested in their personal well-being. I take the time to get to know your story and your goals before we dive into the hard yet rewarding work of psychotherapy. Some people may know their goals for therapy at the first session, whereas for others, this may take some time to explore and identify. Wherever you are in that process, I will meet you there.
